Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff National Park,Alberta, Canada is a great place to stay offering your choice of relaxing at the Spa, enjoying a wonderful prepared gourmet meal at Primrose Dining Room or hiking just minutes to the Banff Gondola (on Sulphur Mountain) featuring the best sightseeing experience your family will cherish for a lifetime. 

Getting There: Head along Banff Ave, crossing the bridge turn left. Continue  along until you reach a wood post of signs (on your right), with one saying, "Sulphur Mountain". This is Mountain Ave. Turn right up onto Sulphur Mountain until you reach Rimrock Resort. It's easy to spot, on the left side of the road.

Every year we make a point of visiting Banff to celebrate our birthdays and wedding anniversary in May. May is a good time to visit Banff as it's not the peak season with reasonable pricing. The weather in May is usually  wet but you just may pick a time where the sun is shining. 

This past May, we decided to try Rimrock Resort Hotel and were pleasantly welcomed with a warm greeting by the doorman, ready to assist you in any way possible.

The doorman assisted us with our luggage, placing them in our room as we check-in at the front desk. Once again a welcome smile at the front desk made us feel at easy with quick service to our room.  Our arrival was just in time for our planned reservation at Primrose Dining Room where we indulged in a gourmet meal set for any King or Queen.

My wife picked the Halibut while my choice was a 12 oz Rib-Eye Steak cooked to perfection of medium-rare.

My wife was delighted with her roasted Halibut on a bed of Fettuccine in Putanesca Sauce (Tomato sauce) along with Cherry Tomatoes.

Of course we had to finish off our meal with Specialty Coffees, such as the famous Monte Cristo with a blend of Kahlua  and Grand Marnier. Sipping on our drinks  we admired the Primrose Dining Room setting featuring a beautiful Mountain view.

After our meal we decided to check out the other facilities at Rimrock Resort Hotel. Our first choice was the Spa & Leisure offering an indoor pool and whirlpool along with a fitness facility and of course the Spa.

I couldn't resist but to venture out to the courtyard, even though it was raining, intrigued by the layout of Rimrock Resort

Our overall stay at Rimrock Resort Hotel made us feel at home with welcoming service throughout each of its facilities. Even though the weather wasn't playing along with us we had a great time and would highly recommend it.  And don't forget, you're minutes away from the Banff Gondola
